Strong relationships mean strong support. That’s why we’re committed to understanding your needs and ensuring you have access to a wide range of people, 24/7. These include your own dedicated supervising social worker, along with family support workers and other care professionals, as well as with other local foster parents.

We’re one team, bonding together with one aim – to help you grow the relationship that really matters: between you and the children and young people you look after.

We nurture your individual growth through training

We’re committed to encouraging growth, which for our foster parents means ongoing training. There’s a core group of modules everyone takes, but after that, there’s a wide choice of courses to meet your individual needs and interests.

Available in local offices and also online, our training is designed for everyone so you can be sure you’ll find it interesting and useful.

We nurture quality

We exist to help fostered children build a better future. To do this, we aim for excellence in everything we do –and have rigorous quality assurance processes to help us get things right. We’re also constantly looking to develop our strengths and become even better.

We recognise and reward your work

We offer a generous financial package to recognise your commitment and help with the costs of fostering a child. This includes a generous weekly payment and other allowances.

Regular placement opportunities

The quality of our work means we enjoy strong relationships with our partners, including local authorities who’ve come to trust us with achieving long-term success for the children we look after – what they call ‘good outcomes’.

This puts us in a strong position and means that when local authorities are looking to place children into care, we’re often at the top of their list. As a result, our fostering service is able to offer regular placements, something that many fostering families rely on.

Local relationships with national back-up

Each of our offices are responsible for making decisions about foster carer support and training so you’ll enjoy strong local relationships with people who know you. This ensures a tailored approach that does the right thing for everyone.

At the same time, we have a national network as well as the support of a larger community of children’s services, so we’re able to blend small and local with a wider network of resources.
