We are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Administrator to work core hours over two days and to provide an administrative support service to our fostering social team. The role will involve maintaining databases and electronic filing systems, managing fostering paperwork and forms as well as general administration duties. Setting up and minute taking of meetings, and meeting and greeting, so good front of house skills are essential.

The successful candidate must have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), a good IT knowledge (which will be tested at interview), and ECDL (or equivalent) is desirable. Previous administration experience is essential.

We are looking for a committed social care professional with a sound knowledge of fostering legislation and practice issues who will be able to continue to deliver the same high standards of service.

You will be involved in the recruitment, training and supervision of Foster carers and promoting the welfare of children placed with Orange Grove Fostercare. As a qualified and registered social worker you will have substantial experience of family placement work and preferably experience of foster care practice including the assessment of potential foster carers. A good knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law and safeguarding issues is essential. You will have excellent communication skills and a commitment to high quality practice.

You must hold a valid driving license, own your own car, and be confident to travel across the Staffordshire region.

Orange Grove are currently seeking a Principal Social Worker. In this role you will assist the Registered Manager in the efficient and effective management of the Milton Keynes fostering team alongside carrying a reduced caseload.

You should be qualified social worker, who has significant experience of working with looked after children and foster carers. You are required to have a good understanding of the appropriate and relevant legislation and regulations. Some supervisory or management experience within a social work setting is essential.

You will need strong Team Leadership Skills to create a ‘can do’ environment of high achievement with a focus on problem solving and creative solutions. Have the ability to make timely and effective decisions and lead by example, understanding when to consult with or defer to others. Be able to build and facilitate relationships, both internally and external to the organisation. You will be prepared to work flexible hours as required to carry out the role of Principal Social Worker successfully.

The successful candidate must have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, a good IT knowledge (which will be tested at interview) including competency with the Microsoft suite, and ECDL (or equivalent) is desirable. Previous administration experience is essential.

We are looking for an experienced Panel Member, with medical / health experience, to join our Panel team at Orange Grove.

Job Description:

  • To read the circulated papers carefully before the meeting and to attend the meeting prepared to raise issues and to contribute to the Panel discussion.
  • To take responsibility for participating in the making of a recommendation, on each case, drawing on both personal and professional knowledge and experience.
  • To attend meetings of the Panel as specified in your agreement with the agency.
    To be prepared to attend additional Panels if requested.
  • To participate, with other Panel members, in advising on policy and procedural matters as required.
  • To address diversity issues and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
  • To safeguard the confidentiality of all Panel papers and Panel discussions.
  • To participate in induction and in Panel training, which will be at least one day per year.
  • To participate constructively in the annual review of the Panel, as required by the agency.
