  • Full Time Supervising Social Worker – covering Bracknell, Guildford, Reading, Basingstoke and surrounding areas. (Attached to Burgess Hill Office)
  • Salary Scale: £28,000 – £34,500

We are looking for a committed social work professional to join our excellent, supportive and proactive team. You will be patch based and have a sound knowledge of fostering legislation and practice issues, and will be able to continue to deliver the high standards of services expected by Orange Grove Fostercare.

You will be involved in the recruitment, training and supervision of Foster carers and promoting the welfare of children placed with Orange Grove Fostercare. As a qualified and registered social worker you will have substantial experience of family placement work and preferably experience of foster care practice including the assessment of potential foster carers. A sound knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law and safeguarding issues is essential. You will have excellent communication skills and a commitment to high quality practice.

You will be attached to the Burgess Hill office and will be required to travel into the office when necessary. You must hold a valid driving license, own your own car and be confident to travel across the Surrey and Berkshire region.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9am -5pm – 3 days per week
Salary: £15,065 – £16,638 Pro-rata
Benefits: 20 days holiday pro-rata

We are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Administrator to work core hours over three days, to provide an administrative support service to our fostering social team. The role will involve, maintaining databases and electronic filing systems, managing fostering paperwork and forms, taking responsibility for specific areas of work, as well as general administration duties. Setting up and minute taking of meetings, meet and greeting, so good front of house skills are essential. The successful candidate must have GSCE Maths and English (or equivalent), a good IT knowledge (which will be tested at interview), ECDL (or equivalent) is desirable. Previous administration experience is essential.

We are looking for an experienced Panel Member, with medical / health experience, to join our Panel team at Orange Grove.

Job Description:

  • To read the circulated papers carefully before the meeting and to attend the meeting prepared to raise issues and to contribute to the Panel discussion.
  • To take responsibility for participating in the making of a recommendation, on each case, drawing on both personal and professional knowledge and experience.
  • To attend meetings of the Panel as specified in your agreement with the agency.
    To be prepared to attend additional Panels if requested.
  • To participate, with other Panel members, in advising on policy and procedural matters as required.
  • To address diversity issues and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
  • To safeguard the confidentiality of all Panel papers and Panel discussions.
  • To participate in induction and in Panel training, which will be at least one day per year.
  • To participate constructively in the annual review of the Panel, as required by the agency.
