Join our Greater Manchester fostering agency
There are currently more than 5,100 children living in foster care across Greater Manchester. Some of these children will have experienced neglect or abuse, and others may be in care due to a family crisis or bereavement. But all these children need somewhere safe to stay while they're not able to live at home.
As an Ofsted 'Outstanding' fostering agency, we help foster families across the region to make a life-changing difference in the lives of vulnerable children and teenagers.
With over 25 years of experience in fostering, you can trust us to make your fostering journey enjoyable and rewarding. We spend time building strong relationships with our foster parents and the children they care for, so we can put into place the support and training they need to thrive.
You'll also receive a generous financial support package to cover the cost of caring for a child. This will also provide you with a professional fee for your hard work and dedication.
With the rising number of children in care, we're urgently looking for foster parents across Greater Manchester, including the City of Manchester, Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan, and more.
So if you're thinking about fostering, then we'd love to hear from you.
Manchester fostering allowances and benefits
You’ll receive a generous fostering allowance while a child is in your care, designed to recognise your professionalism and commitment. We also offer other benefits, such as allowances for birthdays and religious festivals, as well as two weeks paid respite.
Plus you'll have access to our rewards platform where you can find hundreds of discounts to some of your favourite shops, restaurants and family experiences.
Why foster in Manchester with Orange Grove?

About us
Orange Grove was founded in 1996 by two social workers who understood that strong relationships held the key to successful fostering. As with all families, relationships matter. They provide a stable platform for growth, which is why we commit time, effort and resources into nurturing them constantly.
We do this for foster children by getting to know them and providing a safe and positive family environment. We do it for our foster parents by treating them individually and tailoring our support to their needs. And we take care to build strong and positive relationships with local authorities and our other partners, so we can all work effectively together.
This has been at the heart of our philosophy ever since we were first set up over 20 years ago. Today we have around 400 children currently in our care.
