Yorkshire Team Attends Veterans Day

7 August, 2018

The annual Veterans Day takes place at Hull’s picturesque East Park and provides an opportunity to remember and celebrate those who played a part in our World War history as well as numerous displays of military vehicles, memorabilia and battle re-enactments.

Our Yorkshire team were there in force for the third year running. Supported by staff and seven dedicated Foster Carers, spreading the word to the 100’s of visitors about the value of foster care, as well as handing out goodie bags featuring Orange Grove Yorkshire themed wooden spoons and keyrings, made by our very own carer Anita.

Registered Manager Craig Clark, commented: ‘There is possibly no better way to promote foster care, than through Foster Carers themselves. Our carers did a fantastic job sharing their fostering journeys with people who attended the event’.

We would like to thank all the carers who came along to support us, including Alison, Anita, Denise, Garry, and to those who volunteered to come along on Sunday, despite being cancelled due to heavy rain.
